Biography
Collegiate: Knutsonw as captain her senior year, but this was the least of her accomplishments. In 2008, she ranked second in the Top 25 All-Time Performances in the 6k at CSB with a time of 22:32. She was named Most Valuable Runner, All-Central Region, as well as All-MIAC Selections.
High School: A 2008 graduate of Esko, Knutson was coached by Tim Lindquist and Jerry Zimney. She participated in cross country (three years), volleyball (four years), basketball (four years) and track and field (four years) during her athletic career at Esko High School. Knutson received all polar league honors in 2005, 2006 and 2007 in cross country as well as all conference honors in track from 2005-2008. She is a two time state tournament participant in cross country, and received all-state honors in 2006 and 2007. Knutson is also a three time state tournament participant in track. She received all-state honors all four years of track. In 2007, Knutson was named the Duluth Tribune Runner of the Year in 2007. She is a two time state tournament participant in basketball.
Personal: Knutson is the daughter of Kari and Steve Knutson of Esko, MN. Her sister Kylee and cousin Karly attended CSB. Knutson enjoys volleyball, basketball, water skiing, spin class, and spending time with family and friends. She is majoring in Elementary Education.

What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete?
"I enjoy being a part of a team. I am challenged by my teammates each day. They encourage me to stay involved with campus events, remain prioritized and motivated, and represent the determination it takes to succeed."
