Kalli Smith-Season-Career Results
2023: Smith competed in six meets as a junior and recorded three top-50 finishes. At the MIAC Championships, Smith recorded a season-best 6k time of 24:42.8. She also competed in the Connecticut College Invitational, where she finished in 49th place with a 6k time of 24:52.6. Smith competed in the Fall Finale, where she recorded a 5k career-best with a time of 19:57.0, earning 2nd place overall.Â
2022: Smith competed in seven meets as a sophomore and recorded three top-50 finishes. At the MIAC Conference Championships, Smith recorded a 6k time of 24:42.9, earning 30th place overall. She also competed in the Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational, where she ran a 6k career-best with a time of 24:01.8. At the CSB/SJU triangular, Smith ran a 5k time of 20:20.4, earning 8th place.Â
2021: Competed in seven races as a first year ... recorded four top-50 finishes, including 10th at the SCSU Tri ... finished 50th at the MIAC Championships ... ran a career-best 6K time of 24:06.3 at the North Region meet.
High School: A 2021 graduate of Maple Grove Senior High School, Smith participated in five seasons of Nordic skiing and cross country and four seasons of track. She earned all-conference cross country honors in 2020, and in track she was part of the all-conference 4x800-meter relay in 2018 and 2021 and earned all-conference honorable mention in the 800 in 2021. She also earned all-conference honors in Nordic skiing in 2020 and 2021. The proudest moment of Smith’s career so far was qualifying as an individual for the 2021 State Nordic Skiing meet; it had been a tough season physically and mentally so qualifying helped to see the hard work pay off.

Personal: The daughter of Elizabeth and Scott Smith, Kalli has four siblings: Bethany, Rachel, Madison, and Lynsie. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cross country skiing, making bracelets, being at the cabin, hanging out with friends, and family, and being outside. Kalli is an Exercise and Health Science major on the Pre-Athletic Training track. She likes being a collegiate student-athlete because it helps her relieve stress and provides her with a support system.
