2015: Did not compete.

2014: Appeared in six races as a sophomore ... ran a season-best 6K time of 27:50.9 at the MIAC Championships.

2013: Ran in seven races in her first year as a Blazer ... dropped over four minutes from her 6K time on Sept. 7 (SJU Invite - 31:16) to her time at the MIAC Championships (27:09) on Nov. 2 ... finished in the top 50 twice ... ran a career-best 5K in 21:38 at the Fall Finale ... ran a career-best 6K in 26:57.6 at the Tori Neubauer Invite ... also finished in a career-best 4K time of 17:52.17 at the St. Kate's Invite.

High School: A 2013 graduate of Stewartville High School, Thornton participated in cross country for six years and track and field for four years. She earned six varsity letters in cross country and three in track, and was named all-conference in cross country as a sophomore.

Personal: Thornton is the daughter of Kate and Jim Thornton of Byron, Minn. She has one brother, Patrick, and enjoys painting, reading and running. Thornton is a biology major with an art minor.
