Biography

2015: Competed in six races and finished in the top 30 twice as a senior ... took 23rd at the Fall Finale Nov. 6 (21:31) and 27th at the Alumnae Meet Sept. 26 (17:14) ... recorded season bests in both races ... ran a season-best 6K at the Tori Neubauer Invite (26:35.06).

2014: Finished in the top 40 twice as a junior ... took 34th at the St. Kate's Dual ... ran a season-best 5K time at the Luther Invite (21:58.4) and a season-best 6K at the Tori Neubauer Invite (27:18.73).

2013: Competed in six races as a sophomore ... ran a season-best 26:32.6 6K time at the MIAC Championships ... recorded three top-55 finishes, including two top-25 finishes at the St. Kate's dual and the Fall Finale.

2012: Finished in the top 50 four times as a first year, including a 27th-place finish at the Fall Finale ... ran a career-best 4K time in 16:52.09 at the St. Kate's Invite ... also ran a career-best 5K time at the Fall Finale (20:35) ... finished in a career-best 6K time of 25:52.80 at the MIAC Championships.

High School: A 2012 graduate of St. Cloud Christian School, Banaian was coached by Matt Swanson and Karla Hultgren. She participated in cross country (three years), basketball (two years), track and field (four years), and volleyball (one year). She received Warrior Award and Most-Improved in both cross country and track and field.
 
Personal: Banaian is the daughter of Barbara and King Banaian of St. Cloud, MN. She enjoys running, biking, working out, playing piano, and reading. At CSB|SJU, she is majoring in mathematics and physics.
