Ella Neaton-Season-Career Results
2023: Neaton competed in five meets, including the MIAC Championships where she recorded a 6k time of 31:37.9. At the Running of the Cows, she ran a career-best 6k with a time of 31:08.6. Neaton also competed in the Toni St. Pierre Invitational, where she ran a 5k time of 24:34.5.
High School: A graduate of Central High School in Norwood Young America, Minnesota, Neaton participated in cross country for five years, track and field for three years, and softball and basketball for one year. She earned Honorable Mention in cross country in 2018 and 2021 and Section Runner in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. She was also named Captain 2019-2022. In track and field she earned Section Runner 4x400 in 2021, 1600 in 2021-2023, and 4x800 in 2023. She was named Captain in 2022-2023. She also participated in dance. Her proudest moment in her career was in 2021, when her 4x400 team got to the section meet.
Personal: The daughter of Jeff Neaton and Shelly Lindquist, EllaMae has four siblings: Jack, Riley, Audrey, and Hattie. She enjoys reading, hiking, and listening to Zach Bryan. She is an Exercise and Health Science major with a minor in Nutrition. She likes being a collegiate student-athlete because it has given her the ability to keep competing in a sport that she loves.
