Brooke Verkinnes-Season-Career ResultsĀ
2023: Verkinnes competed in six meets as a sophomore, including the MIAC Championships, where she recorded a 6k time of 26:30.3. At the Connecticut College Invitational, she set a new 6k career-best with a time of 25:31.6. Verkinnes also set a 5k career-best at the Toni St. Pierre Invitational, earning 15th place and finishing in 21:11.5.
2022: Verkinnes competed in six meets as a first year, finishing within the top-50 in three of them. At the MIAC Conference Championships, she recorded a 6k time of 28:54.7. She competed in the Jim Drews/Tori Neubauer Invitational, where she set a 6k season-best with a time of 26:05.3. At the CSB/SJU Triangular, Verkinnes ran a 5k time of 21:47.4, earning 26th place overall.Ā
High School:Ā A 2022 graduate from Apollo High School in Minnesota, Verkinnes ran track for six seasons and cross country for seven seasons. Her accomplishments and awards include, earning All-State Academic awards (2021,2022), receiving All State Conference two times, qualifying for State in the 800m twice, breaking the 4x8 schoolĀ record twice, and breaking the 5k school record. Verkinnes was also a part of the club rock climbing group. The proudest moment of her career so far was breaking the 5k record at her high school.

Personal:Ā The daughter of Lisa and Mike Verkinnes, Brooke has two siblings:Ā Jake, and Cory. In her free time, she likes doing art, biking, and long boarding. Brooke majors in Global Business Leadership. She likes being a collegiate athlete because she enjoys having a team where all the girls love what they are training for and having more freedom in herĀ mileage.
