Bella Marette-Season-Career Results
2023: Marette competed in five meets over the course of the season, including the MIAC Championships where she recorded a 6k time of 31:27.3. At the Connecticut College Invite, Marette ran a career-best 6k, with a time of 30:55.9. At the Blugold Invitational, she finished with a 6k time of 33:26.4.Â
High School: A 2023 graduate from Minnetonka High School, Marette was on the cross country team for 3 years, on the Nordic skiing team for 4 years, and played lacrosse for 4 years. She earned varsity letters for cross country in 2022, Nordic skiing 2021, 2022, 2023, and lacrosse 2021, 2022, 2023. She also won the Lacrosse Coaches Award, Defensive Award, Leadership Award, and the Team Spirit Award. The proudest moment of her career so far was finishing races. Heat induced seizures made finishing some races really hard, so the ones that she did finish, no matter her time, always made her happy.Â
Personal: The daughter of Jamie Ahrndt and Andy Schiefelbein, Bella has one sibling named Finnley. Bella is the first of her family to attend CSB/SJU. In her free time she enjoys box lacrosse, nordic skiing, running, and hiking. She is on the Pre PT track with a Health and Exercise Science Major. Bella enjoys being a collegiate athlete because she gets to be a part of such a fun and supportive community that has a lot of the same interests as her.
