Anabella Witschen-Season-Career Results
2023: Witschen competed in six meets as a first year, recording top-50 finishes in three of the meets. At the MIAC Championships, Witschen recorded a career-best 6k time of 24:47.8. She also competed in the Connecticut College Invitational, where she finished with a 6k time of 24:48.1. At the Fall Finale, Witschen ran a 5k time of 20:35.0, earning 4th place overall.
High School: A 2023 graduate of Monticello High School in Monticello, Minnesota, Anabella participated in cross country for four years, track and field for two years, and softball for one year. She earned Cross Country All Conference Academic Awards each year from 2019-2023 as well as lettered in cross country each year. She earned Track and Field All Conference Academic Awards for both years she participated as well as lettered in track and field both years. She also participated in the Minnesota Honors Society. Her proudest moment of her career was pushing herself past the limits she had set for herself while achieving many accomplishments.Â
Personal: The daughter of Mathew and Katrina Witschen, Anabella has 6 siblings: Gabby, Wyatt, Polly, Mae, Valencia, and Jeffery. She enjoys reading, cooking/ baking, and going on walks. She is an Exercise and Health Sciences major with a minor in Nutrition at CSB/SJU. She likes being a collegiate student-athlete because she gets to be a part of an amazing team that pushes and uplifts one another but also has fun and takes care of their teammates.
