High School: A 2006 graduate of Champlin Park High School, Schmidt was coached by Jonas Beugen and Chris Buerman … participated in basketball (four years), cross country running (two years), track and field (one year), tennis (one year) and golf (one year) during her athletic career at Champlin Park High School … three-year captain of her basketball team … All-State honorable mention … three-time All-Northwest Suburban Conference selection in basketball … 1,000 point scorer for Champlin Park … all-time leader in career point and assists … Academic All-State in golf and basketball … member of the Champlin Park basketball team that owns 26 school scoring records and two national scoring records while winning the 2005-06 Northwest Suburban Conference Championship ... participated in Minnesota 4A All-Star game.
