High School: A 2005 graduate of Edina High School, Tauer was coached by Jenny Johnson ... participated in varsity basketball (four years) and track and field (three years) during her athletic career at Edina ...named All-Classic Lake Conference her junior and senior seasons ... member of the All-Star team ... served as team captain for two years ... given All-State Honorable Mention honors ... voted Most Improved Player and team MVP... recipient of the Leadership Award ...named to Academic All-State team ... received All-Classic Lake Conference track and field honors in 2003 ... captained the Edina track and field team her senior year… been on the same basketball team with fellow senior Nikki Carter since the fifth grade.

“I love the involvement it provides in the community as well as the friendships and competitive experiences that go along with playing at the collegiate level.”
