Biography
2012: During her sophomore year, Johnson started in 17 games, 13 of them playing throughout the entire game. She had 123 hits, 53 of them being earned runs. In the NCAA Division III ranking summary, Johnson was the top 297 player (out of 400) in earned run average.
2011: As a first year pitcher, Johnson had an earned run average of 3.40, started in five games, and played two complete games. She also had 53 hits and 25 runs.
High School: A 2010 graduate of New Ulm High School, Johnson was coached by Kristi Andersen and participated in softball (four years) and tennis (four years) during her athletic career at New Ulm. Johnson is a two-time All-Conference selection in softball and participated in the Minnesota State High School All Star Series. She is a two-time All-Conference tennis selection.
Personal: Johnson is the daughter of Deb and Jeff Johnson of New Ulm, Minn. She enjoys singing, playing piano, playing softball and tennis, and watching Criminal Minds. Johnson is majoring in chemistry and pre-pharmacy.
What is your proudest moment of your career?
"Winning the Mankato East softball tournament in 2009."
What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete?
"I like the college-level intensity and being a part of dedicated team."
