2023: Runk played in four games. She had a batting average of 1.000, 2 at bats, and one run. Her on base percentage is 1.000. In the field, she had 3 chances, 3 putouts, and a fielding percentage of 1.000.  

High School: Runk is a 2022 graduate of North Branch Area High School, where she participated in volleyball for two years, basketball for five years, and softball for six years. She earned All-Section (2021) and All-Conference (2022) in softball, and received the 2022 Triple A award. Runk also played for the North Branch club softball team. The proudest moment of her career is hitting a triple to tie the game and scoring the winning run in the section finals game to advance to state. 
 
Personal: Makenna is the daughter of Sheryl and Jim Runk and has three siblings, Megan, Jonathan, and Alania. She is studying psychology and pre-occupational therapy. In her free time, she enjoys reading and swimming. Makenna looks forward to competing at the collegiate level with teammates who will make her a better player and person.
