2009: Should see some time in the outfield for the Blazers … has good speed … a good contact hitter.
High School: A 2008 graduate of Maple Grove High School, Schammel was coached by Jim Koltes … participated in softball (5 years) for Maple Grove … earned Academic All Conference.
Personal: Daughter of Lisa and Brad Schammel of Maple Grove, MN … enjoys being outside … majoring in environmental studies.
Proudest moment of her softball career: “Winning second place at a Nationals Tournament with my summer team.”
What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? “Being part of a team gives you a great opportunity to meet new people and stay in shape.”
