2009:  A strong first-year pitcher … has good velocity on the mound … will pitch some innings this season.

High School:  A 2008 graduate of St. Cloud Technical High School, Ergen was coached by Kerry Kopp and Mary Libismeyer … participated in softball (four years) … was a member of the 2007 softball team that finished runner-up in sub-sections.

Personal:  Daughter of Marlene and Scott Ergen of St. Cloud, MN … her mother, Marlene, is the Human Resource Coordinator at CSBSJU … enjoys reading, wakeboarding, and spending time on the lake … majoring in social work with a minor in psychology.

Proudest moment of her softball career: “My team and I made it to the 2007 National Tournament in Kansas City. We all came together and worked as a team and came out successful.”

What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? “Being a collegiate-student athlete teaches you self-discipline, motivation and determination both on and off the field. It is rewarding in and outside of the classroom.”
