2018: Had 11 appearances on the mound, including eight starts ... went 6-1 with an ERA of 3.06 ... pitched 34.1 innings ... struck out 12 batters and gave up 16 runs on 44 hits.
2017: Named the team's Most Improved player at the end of the season ... finished second on the team with a 2.52 ERA ... went 2-1 in 12 appearances ... threw two complete games, including one shutout ... threw 33.1 innings ... struck out 11 batters and gave up 17 runs on 42 hits.
High School: Metz graduated from Rocori High School in 2016. She played volleyball (one year), basketball (two years), and softball (four years). In 2014 and 2015, Metz received all-conference, all-section, and all-area honors. In 2015 and 2016, she received all-conference and all-state academic honors. She also received the Wendy’s Heisman Award and was the team captain.
Personal: Jocelyn is the daughter of Mindy Metz and Kurt Orenstein. In her spare time, she enjoys running and attending coaching and pitching clinics. While at CSB/SJU, Jocelyn plans on majoring in chemistry and minoring in marketing.
