College of Saint Benedict

2009:  Senior captain … tremendous leadership skills … will look to drive in runs and get on base for the Blazers … outstanding defensive outfielder.

2008:  Started in all 32 games for St. Benedict…recorded a .309 batting average… collected 29 hits and 12 walks… scored 14 runs… received All-MIAC honors… was named team Most Valuable Player.

2007: Made 33 starts for the Blazers in the outfield … recorded 23 hits and scored 16 runs … drove in eight runs … recorded a .915 fielding percentage while playing left field for Saint Benedict last spring.

2006: Played in 13 and started six games for Saint Benedict … scored four runs for the Blazers … provided the team with no-error defense in her time in the outfield … gave the team a great glove of the bench.

High School: A 2005 graduate of Billings Central Catholic High School, Rigg was coached by Tracy Scott ... Participated in softball (four years), basketball (four years) and golf (two years) during her athletic career at Billings Central Catholic High School ... was a four-time selection to the All-Eastern A Conference softball team ... also was an All-Eastern A Conference selection in basketball in 2004 and 2005 ... named to the All-State Tournament team in 2005 ... awarded “Best Offensive Player” for her high school basketball team in 2005 ... Academic All-State (2004, 2005) ... named to the Academic All-State team four consecutive years for softball and basketball ... was a finalist for Billings Athlete of the Year in 2005.

Personal: Daughter of Nancy and Dave Rigg of Billings, Mont. … involved with SAAC as the softball team’s representative … also involved in the snowboarding/skiing club at CSB/SJU … enjoys hiking, fishing, all sports, rollerblading and spending time with friends and family …  majoring in communication.

Proudest moment of her softball career: “Being able to play college softball.”

What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? “Interacting with my teammates while working hard to make each other better softball players.”
