2012: As a first year, Zierden played and scored in 32 games.  With 80 at bats, she scored eight runs and 17 hits.  She also had 39 put outs and 73 assists.

High School: A 2011 graduate of Albany High School, Zierden was coached by Vance Ressler and Scott McLachlin.  She participated in softball (four years), volleyball (four years) and basketball (four years) during her athletic career at Albany.  She was a member of the all-state team in softball.  She was All-Conference and All-Section in softball, volleyball and basketball.  Zierden also served as a team captain for all three sports.

Personal: Zierden is the daughter of Barbara and Kevin Zierden of Avon, Minn.  Her aunt attended CSB.  She enjoys volleyball, basketball and hiking.  She is majoring in elementary education.

What is your proudest moment of your career?
"Bringing our team together after a tough loss and making it to the state softball tournament in 2011."

What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete?
"It's a great way to get away from the stress of schoolwork for a little bit, and just play what I love."
