Who is one of your female role models and share one attribute that you wish to model after?

Elizabeth Wurdak, the chair-person of the Biology Department of CSB/SJU, is someone I look up to because of her immense knowledge and passion she has for the subject she teaches. Her enthusiastic attitude about biology is contagious which makes learning a rewarding experience.

What leadership practice is your strongest (model the way, inspire a shared vision, encourage the heart, challenge the process, enable others to act)? Give an example of how you demonstrate leadership in that way.

My strongest leadership quality is setting a good example or modeling the way. You can preach all you want to people about how to be a certain way, but if you don't model that youself, you're deemed a hipocrite and people will not respect you. Living out what you believe instead of "talking the talk" shows everyone that you hold true to what you value. I try to maintain a positive influence in hopes to set a good example of what a leader should be.
