Biography

Who is one of your female role models and share one attribute that you wish to model after?

My mom is one of my most influential female role models. She isn’t just a great leader, with many ideas and so much energy, but she is willing to put in the work and fight for what she believes is right, whether she stands alone in her belief or not. I hope to gain the confidence in myself to stand up for my beliefs, just as my mom does every day.

How has being a leader in SAAC helped you grow in your leadership skills?

By being a leader in SAAC, I have been able to hone leadership skills that I already possess, not to mention gain many new skills that have only worked to enhance my ability to work for the better of my peers and teammates. By working with other leaders in SAAC, I have seen other leadership skills in action, which I have also tried to replicate and model after. SAAC gives many young leaders a great forum to develop, gain and hone important skills and attributes that will benefit all of us now and in the future.

What other CSB/SJU clubs, organizations and volunteer work are you involved with? What one aspect has helped you in your personal and professional growth?

Varsity basketball and softball, Special Olympics volunteer, Up ‘Til Dawn, Eucharistic Minister and gift bearer, College Democrats, and Pre-Law Society.
I think being involved with a variety of clubs and organizations has helped me to gain a better understanding of different leadership skills, how to interact with other leaders and how organizations further their missions in different ways. All of these areas will assist me personally and professionally as I continue to strive to be a good and versatile leader.
