Biography
2015-16: Qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 50 free and 100 and 200 butterfly as a senior ... took 14th in the 200 fly, 19th in the 100 fly and 29th in the 50 free ... swam a career-best 100 freestyle time (57.96) at the Meet of the Saints ... recorded 12 top-10 finishes, including one win, as a senior.
2014-15: Competed in two meets in the fall ... recorded two top-10 finishes ... studied abroad and did not compete in the spring semester.
2013-14: Named the team's Most Improved at the end of the season ... qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 50 freestyle and 100 and 200 butterfly ... finished 14th in the 100 fly, 15th in the 200 fly and 23rd in the 50 free ... swam career-bests in all three races at the conference meet ... also swam career-bests in the 100 free and 100 back as a sophomore ... recorded 10 top-10 finishes.
2012-13: First season ... competed in 12 meets ... recorded 17 top-20 finises ... took third in the 100 butterfly in a dual against Morningside on Nov. 16 ... took third in the 200 fly at the Carleton dual on Jan. 12.
High School: A 2012 graduate of Eden Prairie High School, Thurin participated in swimming for four years. She received two varsity letter awards.
Personal: Thurin is the daughter of Sue and Greg Thurin of Eden Prairie, Minn. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, swimming, and traveling. Her grandfather, uncle, and father all went to CSB|SJU. At CSB, Thurin is majoring in nutrition and is a Hispanic studies major.
