Biography
2015: Finished in the top 50 at all five meets as a sophomore ... earned All-Region after taking 19th at the NCAA Central Region meet ... also earned All-MIAC honors after finishing 10th at the MIAC Championships ... named the team's Most Valuable Runner ... ran the fifth-best 6K time in school history (22:42.78) at Tori Neubauer and took 15th ... ran the 10th-best 5K (18:51.2) at the National Catholic Invite and finished 46th ... also took sixth at the Carleton Invite ... earned USTFCCCA Academic honors.
2014: Appeared in seven meets as a first year ... earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention after finishing 20th at the MIAC Championships ... ran the 10th-best 6K time in school history at the conference meet in 23:09.4 ... also ran the 22nd-best 5K in school history in 19:21.5 and took eighth at the Luther Invite ... finished in the top 50 in all seven races ... took third at the St. Kate's Dual in her first collegiate race ... finished 48th at the region meet.
High School: A 2014 graduate of Big Lake High School, Rasmussen was coached by Gail Grieme. She participated in cross country (four years) and track and field (two years) during her career. She was all-conference and all-academic for four consecutive years.
Personal: Rasmussen is the daughter of Heather and Mike Rasmussen of Big Lake, Minn. She enjoys running, reading, drinking coffee, relaxing, watching movies and exercising. She is majoring in biology.
