2012: Over the course of the season, Witschen took sixth in the 600 meter, fourth in the pentathlon, and second at home in the heptathlon. She has two first place titles in the 400 meter hurdles, and in the 100 meter hurdles she took fourth. At the MIAC Indoor Championship, her team took fifth in the 4x400 relay team.   At the MIAC Outdoor Championship, she took third in the 400 meter hurdles. In both MIAC Championships she placed ninth in the long jump. Witschen was Athlete of the Week on May 11, MIAC Academic All-Conference in both indoor and outdoor track, as well as being awarded Most Improved Track Athlete of the year.Â
High School: A 2010 graduate of Monticello High School, Witschen was coached by Kim Nygaard. She participated in cross country (four years) and track (four years) during her athletic career at Monticello. She was all-state in track, state participant in cross country and track, all-conference, all-conference honorable mention and all conference academic in cross country and track. She was the captain of both cross country and track teams.
Personal: Mandy is the daughter of Cindy and Tim Witschen of Monticello, Minn. She enjoys running, dancing, singing, playing solitaire and spending time with family. At CSB|SJU, her major is elementary education.
