College of Saint Benedict Athletics

2006-2007: A leader in distance events, Abbey placed 6th in the 500 freestyle, 9th in the 400 IM, and 4th in the mile (dropping 24 seconds in her effort) at the MIAC Championships.  After earning MVP from her teammates last year, Abbey knows how to continue to establish herself as a leader in these distance events in the MIAC and set her sights on a berth at NCAA’s.

High School: A 2006 graduate of Eden Prairie High School, Brau was coached by Marcy Weisner … participated in swimming (four years) and softball (one year) during her athletic career at Eden Prairie High School … was named most improved athlete on her swimming team … was an All-Lakes Conference selection in swimming … three-time state swimming meet qualifier … captained the swimming team her senior year … member of the Eden Prairie swimming team that was the Section 6AA True Team champion and was two-time All-Lakes Conference champions.

Personal: Daughter of Marie and Scott Brau of Eden Prairie, MN… enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family and snowboarding… majoring in management with a minor in communication.

“I like being a student-athlete because it helps me with good time-managment skills and allows me to be apart of a great organization.”
