College of Saint Benedict

2009:  A returning pitcher for the Blazers … expected to step in and fill that role again … was a pleasant surprise offensively last season … will bat in the middle of the order and provide some power at the plate.

2008: Started 27 games for the Blazers… compiled 22 hits including team high three homeruns… also made 15 appearances on the mound for the CSB… recorded two wins.

High School: A 2007 graduate of St. Lucy’s Priory High School, Borba was coached by Ernie Marez … participated in softball (four years) during her athletic career at St. Lucy’s Priory High School … member of the St. Lucy’s Priory softball team that won the Sierra League championship in 2007.

Personal: Daughter of Paula and Ricardo Borba of Ontario, Calif. … enjoys playing softball, spending time with family and friends, reading and watching movies … majoring in political science.

Proudest moment of her softball career: “Being a part of my high school softball team that won the Sierra League championship for the first time since 1998.”

What do you like about being a collegiate student-athlete? “I like that I still can get a great education at the College of Saint Benedict and still compete in the sport I love.”
