2023-24: Competed in ten meets, recording ten top-eight finishes ... competed in the MIAC Championships, setting career-bests in the 50 Y Free (25.75), the 50 Y Breast (32.65), the 100 Y Breast (1:11.87), and the 200 Y Breast (2:43.62) ... set a career-best in the 200 Y Free at the Rochester Invitational with a time of 2:07.51. Â
2022-23: Competed in seven meets, recording seven top-eight finishes … competed in the MIAC Championships, setting a career-best in the 100 Y Free (57.48), the 100 Y Breast (1:12.01), and the 200 Y IM (2:26.79) and swimming 33.39 in the 50 Y Breast ... set a career-best in the 100 Y Back at the St. Kate’s Pentathlon with a time of 1:12.73 … took 2nd place in the 100 Y Breast (1:14.14) at the Macalester meet … took 5th place and set a career-best in the 200 Y Breast (2:48.52) at the St. Olaf Meet and took 5th place in the 50 Y Free (26.63) and 4th place in the 100 Y Breast (1:14.56) … took 6th place in the 100 Y Breast (1:14.49), the 200 Y Breast (2:48.65), and the 200 Y IM (2:31.68) at the Gustavus Invitational.Â
High School: Hansen is a 2022 graduate from Mahtomedi High School. A five-sport standout, she was a member of the swim team for six seasons, Nordic skiing for three seasons, basketball for one season, track and field for two seasons, the trap shooting team for four seasons. Her accomplishments for swimming include All Conference Honorable Mention (2016), All Conference (2017,18,19,20,21), Section Finalist (2016,17,18,19,20,21), State Qualifier (2018,20,21), Spirit Award Winner (2020,2021), and Team Captain (2021). Her accomplishments for Nordic Skiing include All Conference Honorable Mention (2018), All Conference (2019,2020), Section Qualifier (2018,19,20), Most Improved Skier (2018,2019), and Trap Shooting National Qualifier (2022). Hanson, who started swimming at age of eight, lists qualifying for Age-Group State for multiple years as a highlight of her career.

Personal: Liz is the daughter of Jen and Steven Hanson. In her free time, she likes fishing, playing basketball, weightlifting, and anything to do with sports. She is a Nursing major at CSB. She looks forward to being a part of a team and sport that she can work hard at and have fun. She is also looking forward to having teammates who will support her at the pool and in the classroom.
