2021-22: Qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 100 and 200 breaststroke and 200 IM as a sophomore ... made the B finals in both breaststroke races and finished 13th in the 100 breaststroke and 14th in the 200 ... also finished 21st in the 200 IM ... swam career-best times in all three races at the conference meet ... recorded five top-five finishes, including a win in the 200 breaststroke against Macalester.

2020-21: Competed in four meets as a first year in a COVID-shortened season ... recorded four top-five finishes as a first year, and several other top-10 finishes, including top five in both the 100 and 200 breaststroke races against UST.

High School: Beck is a 2020 graduate of Palmer High School where she played soccer for three seasons and competed in swim and dive for four years. Her accomplishments include a 15^th-place finish in the 100 breaststroke in the 2018 Alaska State Competition and 11^th in the 100 breaststroke in the 2019 Alaska State Competition. Her proudest moment was qualifying for the state swim and dive competition her senior year of high school in the 100 breaststroke and she swam her best time after having double jaw surgery and a long recovery over the summer prior to the fall season.
 
Personal: Maria is the daughter of Matthew and Teresa Beck she has two siblings: Julia and Olivia. Julia is also a member of the CSB swim team. In her free time she enjoys running, photography, and art. Maria is majoring in biochemistry and is looking forward to being a student-athlete to have balance throughout all aspects of her life by balancing training, maintaining good grades, and striving for good health both emotionally and physically.
