2021: OUTDOOR: Qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 5K and 10K ... finished ninth in the 10K in a career-best time of 40:01.20 and 14th in the 5K in a career-best time of 19:07.68 ... ran a career-best 1,500 time of 5:04.90 on April 30 at UST ... won the 1,500 on April 2 at SJU ... recorded four top-five finishes ... INDOOR: ran a career-best 3K time in 11:03.07 on Feb. 7 at SJU ... ran a career-best mile time of 5:37.35 on Feb. 20 at Bethel ... recorded five top-five finishes.

2020: Earned Academic All-MIAC honors ... OUTDOOR: The 2020 outdoor season was canceled by the NCAA on March 13 due to the COVID19 pandemic ... INDOOR: competed in five meets as a junior ... finished in the top 10 four times, including fourth in the 5K at the CSB/SJU Invite and fourth in the 3K at the St. Olaf Women's Invite.

2019: Earned Academic All-MIAC honors ... OUTDOOR: Qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 5K and 10K ... took 15th in the 10K and 30th in the 5K ... took fifth in the 10K at the Manitou Classic and ran a career-best time ... ran a career-best 1,500 time at Gustavus ... INDOOR: finished 17th in the 5K at the MIAC Championships ... finished in the top 10 three times.

2018: OUTDOOR: competed at three meets as a first-year ... recorded best finish of sixth at Janis Rider Invitational in the 5K ... INDOOR: competed in five meets ... recorded five top-15 finishes ... posted season-best mark of fourth in the 3K at the St. Olaf Invite.

High School: Wachowiak is a 2017 graduate of Champlin Park High School where she ran four years of cross country and track. She received three all-conference honorable mention honors in cross country (2014, 2015, 2016) and one in track (2017). She also earned two all-section awards (2016 cross country and 2017 track). Leading her team as a captain for two years is her proudest memory from cross country.

Personal: Jena is the daughter of Greg and Sherri Wachowiak and she has two brothers, Derek and Alex. She is interested in music, and and is a dietetics major with exercise science & sports students and psychology minors at CSB/SJU. She enjoys being a collegiate student-athlete because she can continue her running career while pursuing her future.
