Biography
2021-22: Qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 100 breaststroke, 100 fly and 200 IM ... earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention thanks to a fifth-place finish in the 100 breaststroke ... also took ninth in the 100 fly and 11th in the 200 IM ... earned All-MIAC honors with the third-place 200 free relay team ... also earned All-MIAC Honorable Mention after fourth-place finishes with the 200 and 400 medley and 400 free relays ... swam the fourth-best 100 fly time, eighth-best 100 breaststroke time and 10th-best 200 IM time in CSB history at the conference meet ... also swam the second-best 100 IM time in program history at the Rochester Invite ... part of the school record-setting 200 and 400 medley and 400 free relays and the second-fastest 200 free relay in program history at the MIAC Championships ... won three events and took second in seven others throughout the season.
2020-21: Competed in four meets as a sophomore in a COVID-shortened season ... improved her career-best time and moved up to eighth in CSB history with a time of 1:00.85 in the 100 fly at the St. Kate's Quad ... recorded nine top-five finishes, including a win in the 200 IM at the Hamline dual.
2019-20: Qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 50 free and 100 and 200 fly ... finished 11th in the 50 free, 15th in the 100 fly and 16th in the 200 fly ... swam the ninth-best 100 fly time in CSB history at the conference meet ... one of just two swimmers to break 25 seconds in the 50 free since 2018 at the conference meet ... also swam the second-best 100 IM time in CSB history in the first meet of her collegiate career, the St. Kate's Pentathlon ... part of the 200 freestyle relay team that swam the 10th-best time in CSB history at MIACs ... scored the most points of any individual on the roster (all meets included) as a first year ... recorded eight top-two finishes, including a pair of wins at the Hamline Invite ... took eighth in the 100 breaststroke at the Minnesota Challenge.
High School: Jess is a 2019 graduate of Foley High School and participated in swimming and track and field for six years and dance team for three years. She finished sixth at state in the 100 breaststroke as a senior and third in the 200 free relay as a sophomore, and set the school record in both events. She was named the Section 5A Swimmer of the Year as a senior, and qualified for state five of the six years she competed on the varsity team. She finished in the top 16 or better all five of those years. Milstroh was also part of four section championships, and earned multiple all-conference honors each season. In track she participated in the state meet as a freshman and sophomore, and earned multiple all-conference awards from eighth grade to her senior year. She also earned all-conference in high kick with the dance team for three years, and was part of the all-state team.

Personal: Jess is the daughter of Tracy Milstroh and Scot Milstroh. She is an Integrative Science major and enjoys exploring. She enjoys being a collegiate student-athlete because it keeps her busy and motivated.
