2020-21: Saw time in one game as a junior in a season that was shortened and played in Winter 2021 due to the COVID19 pandemic.

2019-20: Played in 15 games as a sophomore ... scored the first goal of her career on Jan. 3 at Concordia-Wisconsin ... also recorded the first assist of her career as a sophomore on Jan. 10 against Finlandia ... scored two goals against Finlandia on Jan. 11 for the first multi-goal game of her career ... finished with 13 shots on net ... earned Academic All-MIAC honors.

2018-19: Played in seven games ... recorded three shots ... blocked eight shots.

High School: Gaertner is a 2018 graduate of Roseville Area High School and calls St. Paul, Minn., home. At Roseville she played hockey for four years. She earned the Hobey Baker Award, an all-conference honorable mention award and Academic All-State honors. The proudest moment of her career so far has been beating Minnetonka her junior year.

Personal: Mia is the daughter of Chris and Wendy Gartner. Her hobbies are cooking and watching movies. She is undecided about her major here at CSB/SJU, but looks forward to being a collegiate athlete because of the team environment.
