2019-20: Qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 100 and 200 breaststroke ... just missed the finals in both, finishing 17th in the 100 breaststroke and 19th in the 200 ... competed in nine meets as a senior ... recorded nine top-five finishes.

2018-19: Competed in four meets after studying abroad in the fall ... took fourth in the 100 breaststroke at the Hamline Dual and again at the UST Conference Invite ... swam a career-best 100 IM time of 1:14.51at the UST Conference Invite.

2017-18: Enjoyed best finish at the UST Conference Invite when she finished third in the 50 breaststroke ... had four top-five finishes ... swam the 10th-best 100 IM time in CSB history at the UST Conference Invite.

2016-17: Qualified for the MIAC Championships in the 200 IM and 100 and 200 breaststroke as a first year ... finished 15th in the 100 breaststroke and top 25 in the 200 breaststroke ... recorded seven top-five finishes, including second in the 200 breaststroke at the Roger Ahlman Invite and in the 100 breaststroke at the St. Kate's dual.

High School: Albers is a 2016 graduate of Eden Prairie High School. She participated in swimming (four years) and ultimate Frisbee (two years). In 2015, Albers was the team captain. She was the recipient of the Awesome Eagle Award and the Leadership Award. Albers was also received the Sydney Galleger Memorial Scholarship in 2016.
 
Personal: Kayla is the daughter of Kelly and Jason Albers. She has one sister, Karly. In her free time, Kayla enjoys reading, writing, running, playing the Ukulele, drawing, boating, and wakeboarding. She is a Hispanic studies and English double major with a minor in Latin American Studies.
