High School: Manikowski is a 2018 graduate of Lakeville North High School. She competed in track and field for four years and earned Minnesota Academic All-State honors in 2017. Manikowski’s proudest moment was beating her personal record in discus by 15 feet.
 
Personal: Lara is the daughter of Kim and John Manikowski. She has a brother, Michael Manikowski, who also attended CSB/SJU. Outside of throwing, Lara enjoys hanging out with her friends and family. She is majoring in economics at CSB/SJU.
