Biography
2012: Schmitt took first place in the long jump, 7th and 10th in the 100 meter hurdle, and sixth in the long jump two different times. She was also MIAC Academic All-Conference during the indoor track and field season.
High School: Schmitt is a 2009 graduate of Apollo High School. She participated in dance (three years), soccer (four years), and track (four years). She was All-Conference in soccer in 2008.
Personal: Schmitt is the daughter of Sue and Vern Schmitt of St. Cloud, Minn. She enjoys running, soccer, dance, piano, drawing, painting, and the outdoors. She is majoring in biology and art.
