Tautges named The House / St. Cloud Orthopedics CSB Athlete of the Week

04/13/2026

ST. JOSEPH, Minn. -- Senior shortstop Olivia Tautges (Brainerd, Minn.), who hit .516 with a 1.065 slugging percentage while leading the College of Saint Benedict softball team to seven wins in eight games this week, has been named The House / St. Cloud Orthopedics CSB Athlete of the Week.

Tautges also earned MIAC Player of the Week honors following her dominant stretch at the plate, helping the Bennies (17-9, 7-1 MIAC) move into third place in the MIAC while extending their winning streak to six games.

The award marks the third time this season Tautges has been recognized and the sixth time in her career. A two-time All-MIAC and two-time NFCA All-Region selection, she also garnered the honor three times during her standout 2024 campaign, when she was named a third-team NFCA All-American. This spring, she has now collected weekly honors on March 2, March 9 and April 13.

In eight games, Tautges hit .516 with a .591 on-base percentage and a 1.065 slugging percentage for a 1.636 OPS. She totaled 16 hits in 31 at-bats, including four home runs, three doubles and a triple, while driving in 14 runs and scoring 11 times. She drew four walks and recorded seven multi-hit games during the eight-game stretch.

Now with 12 home runs on the season — leading the MIAC and ranking second nationally — Tautges is batting .500 overall with a 1.630 OPS. She set a program record with her 31st career home run earlier this season against Concordia. Tautges' 12 homers in 2026 ranks second for a season in CSB history, only surpassed by her own 15 in 2024.

Among national leaders, Tautges ranks second in Division III in home runs (12), third in slugging percentage (1.045), fourth in total bases (92) and 16th in on-base percentage (.585). She leads the MIAC in each of those categories, along with RBI (33), runs scored (35) and hits (44), while posting 15 multi-hit games.

The Bennies return to action April 15 with a road doubleheader against Augsburg in Minneapolis.
