11/02/2026

INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA and Division III Sports Information Directors Association (D3SIDA) has announced College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University assistant director of athletic communications Jordan Modjeski has been selected for the third annual NCAA Division III Emerging Elite Program. Modjeski will partake in the three-day event Sunday-Tuesday, Dec. 6-8.

"This is an opportunity that I've been eager to be a part of, and I look forward to representing our conference and institution in Indianapolis," said Modjeski. "I'm looking forward to making new connections, learning from others in the industry and gaining practical tools that will help me continue to grow as a communicator and a leader."

Launched in 2024, the Division III Athletic Communicators Emerging Elite Program is a professional development initiative held each December at the NCAA national office in Indianapolis. Developed in partnership with D3SIDA and College Sports Communicators, the program supports the advancement of the next generation of athletics communication leaders in Division III. This is a professional development program for athletics communication staff.

"I am proud of Jordan for continuing to establish herself as one of the best up-and-coming young professionals in the field, and her being chosen for this program just continues to prove that," stated CSB director of athletic communications Meredith Mahoney. "As someone that had the honor to be in the inaugural class of 2024, I know she will come away with great knowledge that will not only help her but will continue to grow our athletic communications departments and CSB and SJU."

Participants engage in a series of interactive leadership sessions, team-management and collaboration exercises, and discussions on the evolving landscape of athletics communication. The experience also includes in-person networking, skill-building workshops and a complimentary one-time registration to the College Sports Communicators Convention the following June.

Modjeski is amid her second year at CSB+SJU after coming to campus following a decorated three years in the department at Gustavus Adolphus College. She annually hauls in numerous awards from the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Creative & Digital Design Contest and is involved in multiple committees with the organization, including serving as the vice chair of the Young Professionals Committee.
