LEWISBURG, Pa. – The College of Saint Benedict swim and dive team is among the 783 teams from 461 institutions to earn Scholar All-America Team honors for the fall 2023 semester.
Saint Benedict, which will compete in the MIAC Swim and Diving Championships Feb. 14-17, registered a 3.59 grade point average to earn the honor. CSB is among the teams, representing a total of 18,716 student-athletes, who were chosen based on their outstanding academic performance during the specified semester. In order to qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to exhibit exceptional grade point averages during the Fall 2023 semester. Of the selected teams, an impressive 595 achieved a GPA of 3.30 or above, earning eligibility for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.
Samantha Barany, Executive Director of the CSCAA, commented on the impressive accomplishments, saying, "The dedication to academic excellence displayed by these teams is truly commendable. It is heartening to witness student-athletes thriving both in the pool and in their academic pursuits. The CSCAA is proud to recognize and celebrate the hard work and commitment of these teams."
