MOORHEAD, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict hockey team is taking a road trip to Moorhead this weekend to play a road series against Concordia. The Friday, Feb. 4 game time will begin with puck drop at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 5 will begin at 2 p.m.

About the Cobbers
The Cobbers are 6-11 overall, 2-8 in MIAC play so far this season. In the series they played last weekend against St. Scholastica, the Saints would hand the Cobbers two 4-2 losses in Duluth. Jerica Friese leads the Cobbers in points with 17 total (12 goals, 5 assists). Goaltender Kiana Flaig has played in 13 games and has a goals-against average of 2.87 and boasts a .908 save percentage with 335 saves.
Last Meeting
The last time the Bennies and the Cobbers met was back in November 2019 in Moorhead. Concordia would score two goals early in the first period and the Bennie's late third-period goal wouldn't be enough. The Cobbers would take a 2-1 win over CSB. Goaltender Ally Frantzick stopped 32 of 34 shots on net in the loss.
The Storyline
After a series sweep of St. Kate's last weekend, the CSB hockey team moved to 8-7 overall, 4-4 in MIAC play. Staying above .500 is a big goal for the team moving forward along with collecting some more key conference points before the end of regular-season play.
Who to Watch
First year Jenna Timm had herself a week, proving herself to be a huge asset to the CSB hockey team. In three games she put up five points (two goals, here assists) to put her on top of the team lead for points (13) and assists (8). Timm is also tied with senior Annika Brodt for lead in goals (5). Both goaltenders Ally Frantzick and Maggie Gilchrist got wins between the pipes against St. Kate's over the past weekend. Frantzick stopped 16 of 19 shots in her win and Gilchrist stopped 26 of 29 in her win.
