ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – After playing at home for the first time since Valentine's Day on Wednesday, the College of Saint Benedict hockey team is back on the road Saturday for a game against Augsburg. The two teams play at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at Ed Saugestad Rink in Minneapolis.

Per MIAC policy no fans are allowed, but live stats and video are available here.

The team's game with Concordia scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 28, has been postponed due to COVID protocols. The game will be rescheduled if possible.

ABOUT THE AUGGIES
After a trio of early games to start 2021, the Auggies were forced to take time off due to COVID protocols and didn't play from Feb. 6 until Feb. 25 when they hosted Gustavus and lost 3-2 in overtime. Kensie Malone had two assists and Chloe Stockinger made 27 saves in her season debut. This marks Augsburg's second game in the last three days, and its second at home.

LAST MEETING
The Auggies won a pair of games against CSB last season, winning 5-0 on Friday in St. Cloud and 4-0 the next afternoon in Minneapolis. Ally Frantzick made 40 saves in the first game between the two teams, and Kailee Medved made 29 saves the next day.

THE STORYLINE
The Bennies and Royals were evenly matched on the stat sheet Wednesday, but Bethel took advantage of the two penalties CSB committed with two power play goals, then added one more goal for good measure. The Bennies look to steady their penalty kill unit and stay out of the box Saturday to give their offense a better chance to put shots on net and put points on the board.

WHO TO WATCH:
Once again it was a pair of under class skaters who had big nights Wednesday. Jamie Benzie notched her first collegiate goal against the Royals and Brynn Sexauer scored her team-leading third goal of the season. Corrine Brown tallied her second assist of the season to put her in the lead in the assist column. Maggie Gilchrist made 27 saves in the net.
