CSB hockey season opener pushed back one day

ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – After a 342-day break between games, the College of Saint Benedict hockey team has to wait one more day to play its first game of the 2020-21 school year.
 
CSB's nonconference hockey game against St. Thomas, scheduled for this Friday, Jan. 29, has been postponed due to COVID-19 protocols. Officials from both schools made the announcement on Thursday. The nonconference game will be rescheduled at a later date if schedules allow.

The Bennies' new season opener is Saturday, Jan. 30, when the team travels to St. Paul to take on Hamline in a newly scheduled nonconference game. Puck drop is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the TRIA Rink. Livestream courtesy of Hamline will be available here.

The team opens MIAC play Saturday, Feb. 6, when the team travels to Arden Hills to take on Bethel in a 5 p.m. MIAC contest. The last time CSB played a game was Feb. 22, 2020.
