Elly Novak is a sophomore on the College of Saint Benedict softball team. She saw time on the mound in four games before the 2020 season was cut short, and finished a perfect 3-0. She struck out 21 batters, including a career-best 11 strikeouts in the team's extra-innings win over Washington University in St. Louis during the team's spring break trip to Arizona.

Favorite holiday: The 4^th of July because it's summer and everyone is outside spending time with family and friends
 
Favorite vacation spot: Anywhere in Arizona
 
Favorite game you've ever been a part of: Senior year of high school in one game I had two home runs, a double, and six RBIs. I also faced 23 batters and struck out 19 with one walk and two hits. 
 
Favorite season: Summer
 
Favorite dessert: My mom's pumpkin bars
 
Favorite song ever: Love Story by Taylor Swift
 
Favorite ice cream flavor: Cookie dough

Favorite animal: Dogs are the best animal to ever exist because they are so fluffy and loving

Favorite athlete: Kris Bryant, he's a real cutie! 
 
Favorite food: Steak and baked potato
 
Favorite TV show: Tiger King or Criminal Minds
 
Favorite memory with CSB athletics: Traveling and spending time with my teammates on our spring break trip to Florida and Arizona in March.
