ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – After taking a month long holiday break, the College of Saint Benedict hockey team gets back in action this weekend with three road games. CSB will play Marian University Jan. 4 in Stevens Point at 7:30 p.m. On Jan. 5, they will face off against UW-Stevens Point at 2:30 p.m. On Jan. 6, they will travel to Northfield to take on St. Olaf at 3 p.m.
About the Sabres
Marian has started the season 3-8-2 overall and 1-3-1 on the road. The Sabres lost their last time out 6-3 to Augsburg on Dec. 8. Morgan Bolin leads the team with five goals, and Hailey Miller leads the team with five assists. Lindsey Strainis leads the team in net with 335 saves and a .910 save percentage.
About the Pointers
Stevens Point has started the season 5-6-1 overall and 0-5 on their home ice. The Pointers did drop a three-goal loss to Saint Mary's in their last game on Dec. 8. Alex Grubbs leads the team with five goals, and Lauren Smith leads the team with six assists. Sydney Conley leads the team in net with 282 saves and a .913 save percentage.
About the Oles
St. Olaf has started the season 0-8-1 overall and 0-6 at home. The Oles did drop a one-goal game to Concordia their last time out on Dec. 1. Xandi Swedberg and Mary Kate Eiden lead the team with three goals, and Kalli McCullen has three assists. Sam Klemann leads the team in net with 163 saves and a .921 save percentage.
The Storyline
After a 3-0 loss and 5-1 victory against Saint Mary's on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, CSB looks to get back to action after a month off. With three games in three days CSB looks to build momentum before getting back to MIAC play. CSB returns to the MAC for a home game on Jan. 12.
