ST. JOSEPH, Minn. – After dropping a MIAC game at St. Kate's Wednesday, the College of Saint Benedict basketball team looks to pick up its second conference win of the year Saturday when it hosts Hamline University. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday in Claire Lynch Hall.
About the Pipers
Hamline enters Saturday's game 4-4 overall (0-2 MIAC) and coming off a loss to Augsburg by a score of 64-51. Reilly Geistfeld leads the team with 14.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Chan'el Anderson-Manning averages 12 points, 4.1 rebounds, while shooting .350 from beyond the arc.
Last Meeting
Saint Benedict dominated both meetings between the two teams last season winning 71-58 in St. Joseph and 73-58 at Hamline.
Haylee Fingalsen had nine points and the team shot 50 percent from the field when the two teams met in December, and
Sidney Schiffler had 15 points in the second meeting between the two teams later last season.
The Storyline
Wednesday's loss against the Wildcats moved CSB to 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the conference. CSB looks to push that record to 2-1, while Hamline is hoping to pick up its first conference win to gain some momentum before the holiday break.

Maddie Schmitz,
Megan Thompson, and
McKenzie Holgate all scored in double-digits Wednesday. Thompson is currently ninth in the league in scoring at 14.3 points per game, and both Schmitz (12.3) and
Alex Johnson (10.0) also average double digits. Thompson scored a career-high 19 points against Concordia, and has scored in double digits in all seven of the team's games so far this season.
