ST.JOSEPH, Minn. – The College of Saint Benedict hockey team looks to pick up its first win of the season on Thursday in the team's MIAC opener against the Hamline Pipers at 7 p.m. in St. Cloud. The team travels to St. Paul on Friday to play the Pipers at 7:15 p.m.
About Hamline
After losing their season opener 3-0 at UW-Eau Claire, the Pipers found victory against UW-Superior in Superior, Wis., on Tuesday. Last season, Hamline finished 12-13 overall and 10-8 in conference play. Senior Sarah Bobrowski is the Piper's current high scorer, with two assists and a goal against UW-Superior. Also scoring for Hamline were Becca Zarembinski, Taylor Ramthun, Dani Perry and Leah Schwartzman. First year McKenna Hulslander made her college debut with 29 saves in net.
Last Year
The Pipers defeated CSB in both the home and away games last year, winning 2-1 and 3-1. Leading CSB in shots was
Brigette Miller (11 combined), who also scored in the away game.
Mollie Wise scored CSB's one goal at home.

The Storyline
The College of Saint Benedict hockey team lost two nonconference games at home to UW-Eau Claire and Concordia-Wisconsin to start the season two weekends ago. This weekend, the team opens MIAC play with two matches against Hamline. After the Pipers, the CSB hockey team plays a double header against St. Olaf College (1-1-1) next Friday and Saturday.
