The Storyline
CSB enters this season looking to improve on its 5-10-3 MIAC finish from 2015-16, and missed out on the conference tournament. Saint Benedict was picked to finish eighth again this season in the MIAC preseason poll. The Blazers are coming off a 2-1 loss at Hamline on Nov. 19. After scoring 23 goals through five games, the Blazers look to keep scoring against a Gustavus team that they scored five goals against last year.
This starts a busy stretch for CSB, which travels to Eau Claire, Wis., to take on UW-Eau Claire Monday, then heads back to Wisconsin to take on Concordia (Wis.) Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9-10.
