About the Tommies: After being picked to win the MIAC, the Tommies have rolled through their first four victories. They are riding a six-game winning streak in which they have won five games by at least double digits. Their stifling defense has held MIAC opponents to a conference-best 45.8 points per game on 31.0% field goal shooting. The next closest team defense in the conference is Concordia, who gives up 59.5 points per game. They are led by their All-American, senior forward Taylor Young who averages 13.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game.

Last Year: The Blazers home-court victory over No. 3 St. Thomas last year sparked their 10-game win streak that allowed them to close the season with momentum and qualify for the MIAC playoffs. In that game the Blazers jumped out to a 31-24 halftime lead and held on to win the game 66-62. In February, the Blazers traveled to St. Paul and suffered a 65-46 loss to the Tommies.

The Storyline: How long will Durbin have to wait to enter the ranks of college-coaching greats with his 600th victory? The Tommies are probably the toughest team he could face with win number 600 on the line. At the same time, winning his 600th game over CSB's biggest rival would mean a lot to the 28-year Blazer Head Coach.

Who to Watch: Seniors Tish Alexander, Brianna Barrett, and Morgan "Windex" Dale are the three Blazers who have scoring averages in the double digits this year. The trio combines for 38 points per game, scoring over than half of the Blazers points this year. After seven games Dale continues to average a double-double (11.4 points and 11.1 rebounds). Barrett leads the team with 16.3 points per game and owns the team's highest shooting percentage (48.3%).

Last Time Out: On Wednesday the Blazers won their second straight game, defeating the Gusties by a 76-73 score. The Blazers shot 26-for-29 from the free throw line en route to their second straight victory of three points or less. First-year forward Annie Dittberner led the way with a perfect 11-for-11 night from the charity stripe.  Barrett scored 18 points to lead the team in scoring for the fifth time this season.
