PAC the MAC!: The Blazers are joining with the Johnnies tonight to PAC the MAC! Each team will be playing at the St. Cloud Municipal Athletic Complex, in the only time all season that fans can see both teams at the same time. The Blazers will be taking on Concordia in nonconference action at 7:30 p.m., while the Johnnies drop the puck with UW-Stout just before, at 7 p.m.

The Records: The Blazers enter the game with a 1-0-0 record coming off their season opening 3-1 win over Marian. Concordia enters at 1-0-1 with a 3-1 win over Concordia (Wis.) and a 1-1 at St. Norbert (Wis.).

About Concordia: Ranked No. 10 in the country, after going 15-6-5 in 2011-12 with runner-up MIAC finish at 10-3-5. Also finished as runner-up in the MIAC tournament, before advancing to the NCAA Tournament, where they lost 5-1 in the first round to eventual national champion RIT. They're averaging over 30 shots per game early in 2012-13, while allowing just two goals. In the recent preseason coaches poll, the Cobbers were picked for a second place finish.

Last Season: Late last January, the Blazers traveled to Moorhead to take on the Cobbers who were ranked No. 9 in the country at the time. In the first game, after going down 3-0, the Blazers battled all the way back to earn a 3-3 tie, scoring a pair of third period goals to do so. A day later the Blazers again evened the score in the third, scoring in the final 10 minutes make it 2-2. However, the Cobbers pulled out the victory with the game-winner at the 18:56 mark.

Brettingen Breaks Out: After scoring 12 points on four goals and eight assists as a first-year last season, Megan Brettingen wasted little time in getting her first two-goal game this year. She led the Blazers to the win over Marian in the opener, notching a pair of goals, including her first career game-winner.

What to Watch For: The competiton steps up in an early preview of MIAC play. The Cobbers will be one of the toughest opponents the Blazers face all season and will be a good gauge for a young team in Coach Kranz' second season. How they fare against a top-10 team will show just how far they've come in the last year.
