In the opener, it was the Blazers who scored first on an RBI single from senior shortstop
Devin Bowlin to score senior catcher
Carissa Hancock in the top of the second inning. The Gusties tied the game with a run in the bottom of the third inning. In the fifth inning, GAC broke the game open with five runs on five hits and one CSB error.

Trisha Johnson. With two out in the top of the sixth inning senior
Kristen Herges broke up a no-hitter with a single through the left side. The next batter, senior
Abby Richardson, beat out an infield single to shortstop to keep the inning alive. Gustavus was able to record the final out of the inning to keep the score at 1-0. The Blazers threatened again in the seventh inning after first-year
Lexi Alm walked and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt and infield groundout. First-year
Kelsey McQuillan hit a shot to centerfield but was robbed of a extra base hit by Brittany Benke, who made a leaping catch on the play.
