The College of Saint Benedict basketball team (18-5 overall, 15-5 MIAC) suffered its second consecutive loss by a score of 76-62 to Concordia-Moorhead this afternoon.
The first half was close all the way through, with neither team leading by more than three points. Over the course of the half, there were 13 lead changes and seven tied scores. The Blazers went into the locker room with a 33-32 lead over the Cobbers.
The second half began with a 21-2 Concordia run over the first seven minutes of play to lead 53-35. The Blazers fought back, closing the gap to seven points at 56-49 with 8:30 left on the clock. Four minutes later, CSB had brought the score within four points at 61-57. The Cobbers then strung together a 7-1 run to lead 68-58 with 2:30 to go before securing the win at 76-62.

Amy Stifter (Watertown, MN, Watertown-Mayer) with 11 points, followed close behind by senior post
Heather Gillund (Ham Lake, MN, Blaine) and sophomore forward
Morgan Dale (Jamestown, ND, Jamestown), who each had 10 points. Gillund also grabbed eight rebounds for CSB. Erica Nord led the Cobbers with 22 points.
CSB next hosts its last regular season game on Wed., Feb. 16 against Saint Mary's. The Blazers will be celebrating senior night and recognizing breast cancer awareness during the game.
