Senior volleyball and softball athlete
Beth Hanson (Faribault, MN, Bethlehem Academy) was named this year's CSB Athlete of the Year at the Blazer Awards banquet this afternoon.
Hanson earned an incredible honor this season when she broke the CSB Career Record for assists in 2009, totaling 5,092. Not only has she been recognized as a leader amongst her teammates by being selected as a co-captain of the volleyball team for two years and selected as team MVP three years, but she has also been recognized across the MIAC. She has been named an All-MIAC performer for three years and All-MIAC Academic.
Regionally and nationally, Hanson has been selected to the All-Region team in 2008 and 2009 and in 2009 she was named to the All-American third team. She was also selected to the CoSida Academic All District third team.
Beth was also selected to the All-tournament team in the MIAC Playoff Tournament twice, contributing to the success of her team.
