College of Saint Benedict Athletics

After many cancellations for the College of Saint Benedict golf team, the team finally got to hit the course for the Carleton Invite this past weekend. Junior Natalie Amundson tied for fifth at this invite and shot a career-low in the process, making her this week’s CSB Athlete of the Week.
 
In Saturday’s first round of the invite Amundson shot an 83, but on Sunday she took 10 strokes off that score and shot a 73. This jumped her from a place of 21^st to finish in a tie for fifth.
 
Amundson’s score of 73 is a new career-best, with her previous being a 74 from the 2015-16 season. Her 73 is tied for the third best 18-hole score in CSB history and she is the first person to shoot that score since 2013.
 
Amundson finishes her junior season with a 79.1 scoring average, which leads the team and is also in the top 10 in the MIAC for the season. Despite not being able to play much due to weather conflicts, Amundson has still managed to produce career-best scores.
