Haylee Fingalsen had a week full of career highs last week.

Fingalsen, a first year on the College of Saint Benedict basketball team, started off the week with a career-high of nine points in a close win against UW-Superior. Three days later, she added eight points against Buena Vista and – in another close win against Simpson – she improved her career-high to 12 points. For her performance, Fingalsen is this week’s CSB Athlete of the Week.

This past week, Fingalsen averaged 9.6 points to help CSB finish 3-0 and improve their record to 5-0 overall. She also had six rebounds and six assists, including a career-high of three assists against Buena Vista.

Fingalsen is currently ranked third on the team in scoring at 8.0 points per game and third on the team with nine total assists. She currently leads the team with eight three-pointers and a .444 three-point percentage. Not to mention, she is also 6-for-6 from the line so far in her college basketball career. To finish it off, she now leads all CSB first years with an average playing time of 18.4 minutes per game.

Fingalsen and her teammates are back at home four more times yet this semester, including Wednesday, Nov. 29, when they host UW-Eau Claire – which is also 5-0.
